Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine

  • Comprehensive and holistic approach

  • Personalized treatments and patient-centered care aimed at addressing your health goals

  • Dedicated and classically oriented practice

  • “If we don’t make time for wellness, we may lose time to illness.”

  • Acupuncture

Acupuncture was codified in the seminal Han Dynasty classics, such as the Huang di Nei Jing Ling Shu. It involves the insertion of small filiform needles into various anatomical locations of the body to treat patterns of disease and disharmony and restore and regulate normal physiological function.

  • Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal formulations represent an extremely practical and sophisticated system of internal medicine with thousands of years of history. Taking herbal medicine is like receiving daily treatments, and is often critical to the success of treating certain conditions.

  • Massage, Cupping, Gua Sha

Deep Tissue Massage Therapy which utilizes a mixture of superficial and deeply penetrating, slow, and controlled techniques, is an excellent modality to treat muscular tension. Cupping has been in use for over a thousand years to treat many different types of conditions involving pain and stagnation. Gua Sha involves the use of a smooth edged tool to gently “scrape” lubricated skin in order to release muscular tension, increase microcirculation of oxygentated blood, and to drain congested lymphatic fluids.

What We Treat

Chinese medicine and Acupuncture was the dominant form of medicine in China until the early twentieth century. Historically it was used to treat a wide variety of health conditions (ranging from acute to chronic conditions and disease, physical injuries, and also as a preventative system to maintain good health.) Below you will find a list of common conditions we treat, but please keep in mind that any such list is imperfect and not exhaustive. Chinese medicine first and foremost treats the individual human being in both states of illness and health. If you have any questions or concerns about whether or not Acupuncture or Herbal medicine could be beneficial in your situation, please reach out to me for a free consultation.
