The new patient intake and first treatment runs 90 minutes. It is primarily diagnostic in nature, and allows me the opportunity to gather enough information to assess your condition and develop an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan. Typically this leaves room for a 25 min. acupuncture treatment. Additional modalities such as: moxibustion, cupping, and massage therapy may be utilized if appropriate.
Follow up acupuncture appointments run 75 mins. They involve an abridged intake that helps evaluate your present condition and quantifies any changes that have taken place. Based on these findings, we are able to modify treatment strategies and course correct if need be. Additional modalities such as: moxibustion, cupping, and massage therapy may be utilized if appropriate, and herbal formulas may be recommended on a case by case basis.
An Herbal Medicine consultation runs 60 mins. It mirrors a new patient intake, in that it begins with a thorough intake and Chinese Medicine diagnostics. Based on your presentation, you will receive an appropriate herbal formula. I typically administer 14 days supply in order to evaluate the effects of the formula and so that we can make modifications if need be. Price of consultation includes price of herbal medicine.
